Injury Update:

Atlanta Hawks All Star guard Joe Johnson will miss the Hawks next two games ( at the New York Knicks and at home versus the Orlando Magic). It is still undecided if he will participate in the All Star Weekend festivities.

As reported earlier Atlanta Hawks center Jason Collins will be out a few more weeks with his elbow injury. Atlanta Hawks have since signed Erick Dampier to another 10 day contract.

Al Horford's status has not changed.

Rumors, News and Notes:

Atlanta fans got into a stir earlier today with ESPN's Chris Broussard reporting that his sources have indicated that Marvin Williams wants out of Atlanta and would like to go to a team where he could have a bigger offensive role.  Later, Atlanta Hawks V.P. of Public Relations Arthur Triche tweeted that he had spoken with Marvin who was very disappointed and denied ever asking for a trade.  He quoted Williams as saying, "you know that's not me."  Only time will time in this one, Atlanta has been very slow to make any kind of move happen and it is doubtful that they will get on the hop to make a deal because Marvin Williams is frustrated (if that is indeed the case). This rumor came just days after Tracy McGrady expressed his anger about his minutes and role on the team.

Many people choose to point to the return of guard Kirk Hinrich as the reason why the Atlanta Hawks are out of sync.  It is true that he did throw a wrench into a bench rotation that had been working for a number of games, Coach Drew already had in his mind that Hinrich was his back up at the point and the other "pros" needed to roll with the punches.  Maybe he should have eased him into the rotation instead of taking minutes away from Jannero Pargo AND Jeff Teague.  Clearly something is not right and Coach Drew needs to make an adjustment to prove to many fans that he knows what he is doing.

If Joe Johnson does not play in the All Star Game, will Josh Smith get the nod?  Doubtful considering the fact that Josh is listed as a forward and Joe Johnson is playing in a guard slot. So who are some the names that may fill Joe's vacancy?  Well we can start with the obvious…Jeremy Lin, Rajon Rondo and maybe Kyrie Irving. Our money's on Lin.
