- Friday night the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Los Angeles Clippers, 105-95. Kobe Bryant scored 40 points in the game, but he later told reporters that he was playing on one leg and that he foot felt like it was going to fall off. It is the same injured foot that forced him to miss the last week of practice and the final two preseason games. It is not known if Bryant will sit out any games in the future to allow his foot to get better.
- New Orleans guard Eric Gordon has told Yahoo! Sports that a doctor has told him that he may return to the team in four to six weeks with a knee injury, but no surgery will be required.
- Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Nash has discovered that he has a small fracture in left leg and will be out for at least another week. Nash underwent an MRI on Saturday which revealed the fracture and he suffered the injury during a collision young Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damien Lillard.
- Golden State Warrior's guard Brandon Rush had an MRI that revealed a torn ACL in his left knee. He will miss the rest of the season after an upcoming surgery for the injury.
