Lou Williams went down with an injury to the knee for the Atlanta Hawks and they managed to call up an old friend in Jannero Pargo. Pargo played a major role in Atlanta's win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on the Dr. Martin Luther King holiday. After signing a 10 day contract, Pargo went on to hit four three pointers in the final period to lift the Hawks to a 104-96 victory. Pargo finished with 16 points for the game.
The win against the Timberwolves stopped a two game losing streak after the Hawks lost to the Brooklyn Nets and the San Antonio Spurs in the games before. Al Horford had a season high of 28 points in the win, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked three shots. Kyle Korver went 3-6 from the three point line to earn his 14 points, scoring 11 of them in the third quarter. Rookie Mike Scott played 22 minutes and hit 11 points with seven boards. Josh Smith added 10 points after shooting 5-8 from the floor and 0-2 from the free throw line.
The Atlanta Hawks look to put two wins together as they travel to Charlotte and take on the Bobcats. The Bobcats are 10-31 overall and 5-17 at home. Atlanta is currently sixth in the East at 23-18 overall and 9-11 on the road. Atlanta hopes that the guys that are not injured can put away a team that has currently lost 15 in a row at home.
