HAWKS 101

Josh Smith on the win: "It was really big. We've always struggled in the past in this building and we did a great job of controlling momentum pretty much the whole game. They made their runs but we answered back with some runs of our own and it's a big win for us."

Smith on his big go ahead free throws: "I just try to live for the moment. I relish opportunities like that and I never get rattled in situations like that. They were really big free throws that knocked down and I know that my team needed them so I had to focus a little harder."

Coach Larry Drew on the team's defense: "I thought our guys made a conscience effort tonight of defending. We made a few mistakes going down the stretch defensively, for the most part we did a good job in executing our game plan and our strategy and just trying to keep them off balance as much as we can."

Larry Drew on Smith's play: "He came up with some huge plays. Josh is a guy that I count on, that I rely on a lot going down the stretch. Overall, he had very (very) solid game, I thought defensively he did a good job as well on Dirk, who is not an easy guy to guard but Josh takes the challenge."

Al Horford on the team's energy: "I know that we're getting back healthy again, at a good time and I think at the (All Star) Break it's only going to make it better. Tonight, personally I felt the best that I've felt in a couple months so that's probably where you see where the energy came from."
