The Atlanta Hawks went to Orlando to play their final game before the NBA All Star Break, but little did they know that the Orlando Magic had already checked out for the first half of the season. Atlanta went on a big run to start the second quarter to allow the Hawks to get up by 25 points and by halftime the score was 57-36. The Atlanta lead would get up to 38 points in the third quarter as Josh Smith and Al Horford would put on a clinic against the helpless Magic.  Hawks' coach Larry Drew called off the dogs in the fourth quarter to allow his team to get a few extra minutes of rest before they play host to the Miami Heat in six days. The final score of 108-76 would see the Hawks' record improve to 29-22.

Despite all the trade rumors Josh Smith has been playing like a beast as of lately and against the Magic he would prove to be Hulk-like. Smith scored 30 points, 10 rebounds to go with five assists.  If "J-Smoove" was the Hulk then Al Horford was the Iron Man, he would bring his 26 points, 12 rebounds and five assists to the party to help lift Atlanta to back to back wins.

Andrew Nicholson and Jameer Nelson were the only two starters for Orlando to score in double figures, they both scored 10 points.

This victory marks three in a row over the Orlando Magic on the season for the Hawks and a streak of nine straight overall.
